URBAN PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE, BHAWANIPATNA.
The National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) was set up in 2013, as a sub mission of the National Health Mission, to improve the health status of the urban population in general, but particularly of the poor and other disadvantaged sections through facilitating equitable access to available health facilities by rationalizing and strengthening the existing capacity of health delivery. Under Ayushman Bharat, Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs) are being strengthened as Urban Health and Wellness Centers- Health Wellness Centre (UHWC – HWC) to deliver Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC).
To provide comprehensive primary health care to the community through the Urban Primary Health Centre and ensuring fulfillment of service guarantees and client satisfaction. BSA has been managing an UPHC at Bhawanipatna from 23rd August 2016NUHM SchemeGovt. of Odisha with population for 50,000-60,000. Specially and preferably within slum area within a half kilometer of radius. The objective of the UPHC programme is to achieve and maintain an acceptable standard of quality of care through optimal utilization of resources. Providing integrated reproductive, maternal health, New born child & adolescent (RMNCH+A) health services and other services under national health programmes. The following services are rendering in the Urban Primary Health centre.

- Basic Laboratory Services
- Outreach Services.
- Immunization Services
Community participation in the form of Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) and Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS) also form an essential component of the programme.
