BSA has been managed a Maternity Waiting Home (Maa Gruha) at Biswanthpur, under Lanjigarh Block since 2012 and another MWH at Parla under Dharmagarh Block since February’2019 successfully. The objective & Scope of the Maa Gruha to establish alternative support and infrastructure for addressing Communication problems in difficult tribal pockets for ensuring and increasing institutional delivery. The Maa Gruha facilitating the following features:  
  • Accommodation facilities for expectant mothers and her escorts.
  • Provision of food for expectant mothers, dependant & Escorts.
  • Lady Health Assistants for attending the cases in shifts.
  • Provision for shifting of delivery cases from Maa Gruha to Hospital.
  • Regular Health Check-up by the Medical Officer (Doctor) of concerned C.H.C,
  • Health Education sessions through IPC & Audiovisual Ads.
    • Recreation facilities at Maa Gruha like TV, CD Player etc. Client friendly environment & Support.
  During F.Y. 2023-24, no. of EDD mother from target & non target area admitted at Maternity Waiting Home, Biswanathpur and also no. of case Institutional delivery at Biswanathpur .      &   During F.Y. 2023-24, no. of EDD mother from target & non target area admitted at Maternity Waiting Home, Parla and also no. of case Institutional delivery at Parla.

OPERATION OF BIKE AMBULANCE

To ensure the survival of mothers and children in Kalahandi district, it was decided to implement the motorcycle ambulance as pilot. This will be achieved by both adapt/upgrading in communication system in hard to reach areas.  It will maximize access to the health facility especially for the pregnant women of remote area. 

The Bike Ambulance shall be located in the service area BISWANATHPUR UNDER LANJIGARH BLOCK as allotted. Bike Ambulance is quite similar for improvement of Institutional Delivery so we are managing this project in PPP Mode.
